  Have just queued in branch for 10 mins to change 5 £20 notes into 10 x £10. I told teller my mother had an account, but he said I would need sort code and account number - neither of which I had on me. I explained that it was her branch, so he could check on system - but he said "That is not the way we process things here". Even if my mother did not have an account, how much harm would it have done Lloyds to just exchange the money ? It took longer for the teller and I to discuss it than it would have taken him to change the cash over. Very disappointing that they were not able to just do a service.

  Great place to spend a bank holiday weekend. You can even visit the vault if you enter from 3 doors up Baker Street with some spades and dynamite!! Loads of jewels and cash laying around, not to mention some saucy pictures and a lovely diary of secrets. Best tip, avoid using walkie talkies.
