  Best coffee in town! As simple as that Nice selection of healthy food Can get busy fast! You much struggle to find a space

  Tea and coffee were good however the service was not great with virtually no communication from the girls behind the counter. We ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough toast but unfortunately the eggs were very dry and overcooked, to the extent that it was an omelette on toast rather than scrambled eggs. No noticeable butter on the toast either. I made mine edible with a good dollop of ketchup (which I would never normally dream of putting in eggs !). However, my wife sent hers back and asked for a plain croissant instead. No apology whatsoever was given and in fact the waitress who dealt with it actually said nothing at all and completely ‘blanked’ my wife - who was very polite (and actually apologised for not liking the eggs!). Since you pay when you order at this cafe I had already paid for the eggs and when we left actually had to argue with the waitress to get a refund of the difference in price between the eggs and the croissant ! Appalling service and we shall obviously not be visiting this establishment again. A shame as we are frequent visitors to Kingston and the coffee itself was good.

  Great espresso and banana bread. Nice little place to chill out. Friendly and quick service. Very nice surprise in Kingston!

  I like this place, it's very relaxed and they have a good taste in music. The flat white was really good, but I get the feeling they changed the bean or brew at some point in 2017 as now I find it too bitter for my taste. Also something seems to be up with their WiFi as I used to connect no problem but haven't been able to for a few weeks now.

  Spent a lovely Saturday morning having brunch at Local Hero. The cafe has a funky vibe and all the staff were very accommodating. We were able to get a table quickly and the service was very fast. I went for the sausage sandwich with red onion chutney and my friend had the buttermilk pancakes with banana, berries and maple syrup. Both were delicious! Prices were quite reasonable and I would definitely return here.
