Hard bed (to the point of feeling springs). Dirty , stained carpet. Peeling wallpaper. Weird translucent and window between bathroom and bedroom (I just don't understand why), leading to the TV being at a weird angle. TV stations didn't work or would keep losing signal. Lied on comparison website about being a 4 star hotel. Few amenities, with limited tea and coffee available. No mini fridge for storing own milk and drinks. All round very disappointing.

After checking into a hotel further up the street and seeing how much of a dump it was I was so happy that there had been a cancellation for bed and breakfast here. The person who took our booking was very pleasant and the twin room we got was very spacious with two TVs! The place is close to the hydro where we were going for a gig, so we didn't have to pay for a taxi. The breakfast the following day was a buffet type and it was fresh. Would definitely stay here again. I deducted one star because new carpets are needed.

Worked there years ago would never stay staff were treated abysmally. I was reminded earlier this week of a night spent there drinking with friends who were staying there. They invited me to the lobby for drinks. I have a vague recollection of nice cocktails and their rooms seemed nice and tidy. So maybe the lone has improved over the years. I hope so.

Comfortable bed, nice decor, powerful shower and good breakfast. Would have been perfect and a 5star rating if reception hadn't given a drunk guest a key card for my room, quite a surreal awakening for me in the middle of the night to direct the confused man back to reception for a new room number and key. Not too alarming for me as a 6foot odd, 30yr old man but if I'd been a young female in bed when a drunk stranger let's himself into the bedroom and sits on the bed I think it would have been very distressing.
