  I needed to buy a short length of upholstery fabric to cover a large square cushion of a dressing table chair, and thought that the end of a roll of fabric, or an off -cut, would be ideal. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and I bought a fairly expensive, high quality length of fabric to use. When I got home to use it, I found that it was a length of fabric that had already been sewn and was cut off from whatever the covering was that it was originally used for. There was a seam all the way along one side and on the other, the stitching had been undone leaving pulled threads in the fabric which rendered large sections unusable. I was disappointed that I had been so trusting and hadn't opened the pack of fabric in the store. I called a few times and found that the store wasn't open on Mondays, or got an answer phone. I recommend that you check what you buy very carefully in light of my experience.
