  My favourite restaurant in Hove. Love it, love it. Tapas with a British theme. Not cheap, but worth every penny!

  Nice place with a really great atmosphere and wonderful team behind and in front of house. The anglo-Spanish concept is a nice one and quality of the cheese and meat excellent. However I would have liked to have seen that same concept continue into the tapas further. We had some nice dishes, especially a venison ragu with fideo noodles. The suckling pig was a little disappointing cooked to a crisp, although the bean stew was tasty and the aerated crackling delicious. With a limited space and kitchen there was perhaps too much focus on fried dishes - the seafood especially would have been a chance to highlight great local fish prepared in a Spanish manner (and I regret bot trying the Hake now). Cauliflower and broccoli dishes were stand out for me. We chatted amiably with the Chef, who I believe is relatively new and look forward to seeing his creativity hit the menu more in future. Fun place and one to watch further as it sounds like they have plans!

  Amazing! All the dishes/share plates I had were incredible. Every dish is well thought out and took my taste buds out for dinner and 'back for a coffee'. Don't pass on the Seville orange dessert, stunning!

  Had a LOT of the tapas here yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! The beef cheek is rich and delicious, the goats cheese churros were an inventive twist, the mussels and prawns were so fresh! Who knew broccoli and kale could taste that good?! We also have the Seville orange and white chocolate bread and butter pudding which I could have ate twice if I wasn't so full already from the tapas! Our waiters recommended us some good dishes and accompaniments and were top notch! Can't wait to head back for more!!

  I’ve eaten at The Market a few times now. Once for absolutely great tapas a Friday evening where food, cocktails and service was on point! Also have had a delicious Spanish style breakfast where every things was perfect. Once another time for breakfast where it took them 50 minutes to serve a eggs benedicte which was too smothered in sauce to eat, services wasn’t attentive at all and barely any apology was given for the wait or the dish. In my book they would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn’t for that one mess up. I would still go back :)
