Very nice place for a comfortable night's stay. Staff very helpful, views from upper floors are great. Like most cities there are homeless people sleeping in doorways around the hotel and some can be viewed from bedroom windows. However the hotels dining and hospitality facilities are worth the experience.

Comfortable, spacious hotel in the heart of Manchester. Great staff. I stay here regularly and never had a bad visit.

The staff in the hotel were fantastic and made our stay unbelievably memorable. The hotel is in a fantastic location with some fantastic pubs nearby for some evening drinks and within walking distance of the shopping centre for during the day. We will definitely be using this hotel again if we go back to Manchester.

It wasn't so bad that I couldn't sleep there, but I'd have been embarrassed to bring someone else back to my room. I stayed here last minute because the hotel I actually wanted was fully booked. I was disappointed with the outdated and generally thoughtless decor. My room was tiny yet not cheap enough to make up for it. I had a room on 12th floor but the economy-grade inner glazing meant the city view was largely wasted. The politeness of the staff was variable. The one notable positive was late check out until 6pm.

Room was cosy, and no place to sit suitcase (apart from floor). Bathroom was a good size, but the shower head was situated for a shorter person (if you're over 5ft 8, expect to crouch to wash face or hair). Bed was comfortable and heating worked well. Friendly staff at reception, concierge and in bar area. Great location - near train station & free bus stop just up the street.
