I was really impressed by the migration museum, because I find it's far to easy for curators to be shaped by their prior disposition to migration. It was fairly balanced, and managed to present the migrant voice without necessarily descending into propaganda. Everything that it put was accurate, and the extra exhibit where you "walked a mile" in a migrants shoes was a great touch. It could be improved by explicitly addressing what people believe to be the downsides of some migration, but overall, was really good.

Wonderful, interesting and moving museum! I spent the whole day exploring galleries and museums and this was the highlight of the day. It is a pity this is only a temporary location (currently in Lambeth Fire Brigade) as this site will be redeveloped; however, I do really hope they find a permanent space right where they are at the moment or within close proximity as I am keen to go back to the next exhibition. As Nine Elms is going through a regeneration process; this is the kind of culture organisation they should get involved with to bring people to the area and start creating the cultural link with Southbank.

This is a place for any generation of people to look ,listen and learn about Britain's very diverse migration and contribution to not only the empire but through to present day.Migration was not only about movement of people but about how they contributed to the economy through trade.Gave their lives in WW1 and WW2, changed the surroundings with there addition to architecture with places if worship. We now have a varied choice of foods recipes and style of dress. Even they way we look has changed for some people we have Inter mixed relationships that have produced biracial offspring that have a foot in two camps and add to the diversity of our nation. If you ate lucky enough to be able to listen to one of thier lecturers speak you understand the importance of understandng where we are today and how we got to this period in time.It was through much help from people's from the Empire.Do not miss the opportunity to visit.Yhe old fire station had been transformed into a wonderful place of knowledge and learning. Small, but interesting exhibition. Really eye-opening given the current climate, and a chance to reflect on mistakes of the past.
