Friendly local store. Only a three star though because the stocking is variable. Often leave without all I need

Supermarket: Recently refurbished. A large fresh fruit and vegetables section. Hot fresh cooked deli counter and excellent bakery section with nice Pasties and pies. Deli and butcher's counters. An excellent fresh fish counter. Stocked with a wide variety fresh fish. Nice café. Publicly accessible toilets, Help-desk Lottery ticket, cigarettes and news bar. Easy plentiful parking and conveniently off the A38 on Outland Road towards Plymouth's Central Park and City.

Morrison's near Outland Road has been refurbished with a new layout of produce. The entrance extended to keep shoppers protected from the wind, snow and rain; and a larger range of kitchen equipment, small appliances, and clothing. However, the aisles are narrower, crowds funnel in and swarm at the chilled fridges, presenting difficulty to customers in wheelchair's and other necessary aids. On the plus side, staff have been much more polite and happy.

If I could rate it lower I would. Since the 'upgrade' I've come to hate this store. I'm not exaggerating. I only ever visit out of necessity. The aisles are narrow. You now have to walk the entire length of each one. When they're stacking shelves it's almost impossible to get to the produce. Very few cashiers. The cafe seemingly runs out of most things by 3pm. The new entrance is dangerous because cars have no warning of pedestrians emerging from the store and setting foot on the crossing. One aisle is full of crappy clothes, which might be ok in a larger store, but you've managed to reduce the overall amount of groceries available. There is also no area to lock up bicycles.

Very tidy and clean lots of parking excellent products at a very competitive prices staff are helpful and friendly. Well worth getting the weekly shop there and ideal for the odds and ends, always plenty of tills open and plenty of self service tills also... The cafe is reasonably priced for a all round menu and drinks
