My husband dropped my Meriva in for a recall to the seatbelt tension , while there he was told there was a second recall needs to be done and that they could do it while he was there which he agreed as we had to travel over 23miles to get there. They then told us in order for them to do the second recall we needed new parts this cost over £150 this we couldn't really afford but obviously for the car to be done we had to pay. After my husband being at the garage from 8.15 till gone 2pm they came out and said it was all done when my husband started the car the revs were way to high so he took it back in only to be told the software update had caused a fault. We had to leave the car there no courtesy car was offered and he had to arrange a lift home .The car is still at the garage a week later no further forward with repairing it. Customer service have been contacted but keep getting fobbed off. My husband has limited mobility the car is his legs. And with numerous hospital appointments we now can't attend. The service is shocking. !!! Hoping we get a answer soon or further action will have to be taken

Have just purchased a 2017 Astra SRI nav on Jan 26th 2018. I dealt mainly with Mark, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. He managed to find exactly the model/colour/spec that i was looking for. It was well worth travelling from Peterborough to Cambridge to do the deal. The 1.0 litre SRI is really very impressive....stylish ,refined and economic. Looks great in deep sky blue. Would recommend this dealership.

My experience with Murketts has been, unfortunately, the one where they (Dave Mence in my case) call you and promise everything, but then avoid you after you have the car and problems appear. I bought a 2007 Ford Fiesta in July. It came with a warranty, and I was also told that the car was inspected thoroughly. This is not the case. In fact what they do is rely on the customer to spot problems, which they will fix without regard to quality. The warranty is through an external company, so if there are problems they wait until after purchase so that the warranty company pays for them. The problem with this is that the customer gets stuck with whatever goes wrong with the car, and has to waste the time to bring it in to get fixed when it should have been dealt with before purchase. I had two major problems go wrong with my car. First, I had pointed out that the air conditioning wasn't working, and they promised to re-gas it. They should also have checked for leaks as well, but within weeks it wasn't working any more. The second and more serious was that the battery was also almost dead, and while about 30 miles from home with my wife and baby, it died one day, again less than a month after purchase, while I ran into a store. Nothing had been done (by me) which would have affected battery life, I didn't leave the lights on all night or anything like that. Fortunately, I had roadside assistance on my insurance, but I did still spend an hour in a parking lot waiting for it, and I had to spend £70 to replace the battery which, as it turns out, was no longer functional. If I had not had the roadside assistance, it would have been much more expensive. What is especially frustrating is that if they don't check to make sure the battery is holding charge (which the service guy was able to do in about 2 minutes), then their other assertions about checking the car thoroughly are basically meaningless. I was very angry with Dave and Murketts for asserting that they checked things thoroughly, and then ended up stranded quite a ways from home less than a month after getting the car and having to pay my own way to get out of it. They did fix the AC (payed for by the warranty company) but have simply ignored my request for a refund on the battery. This, to me, is more discourteous than simply claiming the warranty doesn't cover the battery. They just ignore your emails. So, unfortunately, my experience has been that the service here is not very professional.
