Lovely place to sit and eat lunch as well as go for a walk. The day we visited, they had a man allowing people to hold owls. A he experience for children. They loved it.

Lovely park as a whole, however they close it off at 6pm so getting from town centre to our hotel was a massive pain as they seemed to have "guards" letting people through, but not us 🤷🏻‍♂️ seemed only locals were being let through. Also the area around we had to walk on was flooded, not great but overall the park itself is really nice and scenic

Fascinating Light-up event which really kicked off my Christmas. Lots of effort and thought had clearly gone into the design and effects for each section of the walk. Good total length and time, and all rounded off with the opportunity for a drink at the end. Slightly pricy, but I was happy to pay as we really enjoyed ourselves and got some fab photos.

The Museum Gardens in York are beautiful year round. The gardens cater to those who enjoy the tranquility of outdoor space as well as those who appreciate the ruined structures of old Abbeys and various buildings reaching back to the Romans ages. The gardens overlook the River Ouse and are a calming and peaceful place to spend a few minutes or a few hours. The gardens also provide great access into the center of York.

We went to the Christmas lights in the museum gardens. They were good, though not as good as those we saw last year in Leeds. We went on one of the last few days so the crowds were light. The staff were excellent, really helpful. My mum hurt her ankle (an old injury) and they helped us over to an exit closer to the car.
