  I liked the National Trust themed village signs into Farnborough. They own 550 acres of land here. Good amount of parking. Knowledge and friendly guides. I liked the paintings of Venice. The staircase is quite grand with it's oval skylight dome decorated with plaster fruit and flowers. There are quite a few buildings/monuments in the garden; game larder, obelisk, ionic temple and oval pavilion. There is also a nice rose garden🌹. Would recommend a visit.

  Worth a visit if you're nearby and already a National Trust member, but it's difficult to recommend travelling over 10 miles and paying the £6.75 entry fee.

  What a find! It was always very difficult to get in because of the restricted opening hours, but managing to go on a Saturday afternoon proved a success. Because the family live there it is like going into someone's home and not a museum. Although, don't take photos inside or you'll get told off by the lessee, like I did.
