  Friendly and efficient. I booked & paid on-line (which was fine). Tyre replacement was done within the booked timeslot. Care was taken to be sure which tyres needed to be replaced. The person at reception desk was friendly and even willing to chat in between business (e.g. phone calls), while we waited. There was no issue with me standing watching the work - although straightforward, it was done with care and efficiently.

  BEWARE! National Tyres (Totton) are willing to shaft potential customers for profit. My partner (young female with kids in the back) took her car with a suspected screw / nail in the tyre. Upon careful inspection they deemed the tyre had to be replaced there and then to the tune of £190. This car is only 1 week old so you can imaging the shock having to spend this amount so early. Deciding not to go for the managers highly skilled recommendation she asked if there was anything cheaper to which a £90 tyre could be ordered and would arrive next day. Thank god, she went for that option!! Now, I’m no tyre expert, but on the face of it, they don't look too complicated. Certainly not from the point of view of giving the suspect in question a little wiggle (as you would a stone perhaps). Having done this on my return from work, a little wiggle removed the tiniest of bolts (5mm) that was slightly wedged in the tread. The lack of ability to inspect a tyre (despite it saying on the nation tyre website they recommend a thorough inspection at one of their centres) it would appear their policy is defined as "how to SHAFT" a vulnerable woman for quick profit. Hey! they would have probably kept the tyre and sold it on... This method of trading I personally find disgusting and I hope this review helps others. In fact, for a reputable tyre repair service travel 50m further down the road where you will find Totton Tyres.

  I have always found National Tyres in Totton to be extremely helpful, they have always given me good advice and looked after all my tyre needs! Polite, Professional and Efficient, what more could you want?

  Tried to cheat me. I ordered specific (high spec) tyres, left my car with them, collected just before closing time and paid the agreed amount. Went to the car to discover they'd put a cheaper model on but charged me the full amount! Made them change them obviously, but you just can't trust them.
