  Terrible service from rude and unhelpful counter staff. Was told they do not accepted stamped items where stamps not purchased in store and that they are paid by Post Office on commission basis, therefore if stamps are not bought from them, they get no money despite having to provide a service. I advised the commercial arrangements between Post Office and them is not my concern and that I had purchased stamps at Clarkston PO should be able to post my letters. I was asked to buy stamps from them or leave the shop and to go to another PO. I do have some sympathy with the owner, (he has dedicated area of shop for PO, pays PO staff etc. and if he does not sell he is providing service at a loss etc.) but he needs to take that up with the Post Office and negotiate different T&C's. Will not use this PO again. Staff at RS McColl in Newton Mearns PO and Giffnock PO could not be more helpful, (probably something to do with fact they may be salaried by PO). I would not want to see Netherlee PO close but something needs to be done.

  Rude and aggressive owner. Popped in to post a parcel which I had already stamped using online service and needed to post/get proof. Was told I should have bought postage from him. Then shouted at and told that local post offices are closing because of people like me and where would I go when that happened. I was so taken aback I said "I'm sorry - would you like me to take it somewhere else?" He said yes and threw parcel back at me. I might have taken his advice and bought from shop next time but there will be no next time. Complaint submitted to post office. Extremely rude.

  Watch your change more fiddling than at at barn dance . Pensioners take care when using this shady business which effectively represents the post office

  I have given a 1 star review as I don't seem to be able to give zero stars. I have been posting packages for the last year using old stamps that are clearly marked with their face values and, to date, I have never had a problem at any other post office. Today, at this Post Office I was refused certificates of posting and told that they would not accept my parcels as the proprietor had never seen these stamps before. I have used this Post Office a couple of times in the past and never had any problem before. The proprietor was extremely rude and unhelpful, I then went to the post office at Clarkston Toll where the staff could not have been nicer. The lady who served me at Netherlee was perfectly pleasant to me until the man, who I presume was her boss, came over to see what the problem was and then told me to leave the premises. He also insisted that I had never used their post office before, although I had posted similar items there within the last month. A complaint has been submitted to The Post Office.
