Lovely staff, excellent history, beautiful exhibits, really worth a visit. We had a tour of the dungeons which came with many rather gruesome tales. Viewed the art gallery which had many amazing scenery and still lifes oil paintings. Walked the Norman, Saxon and Roman exhibits but ran short of time to see the more modern history. Credit for permission to take photographs behind the scenes goes to the wonderful staff. Especially the textiles department.

Wonderful art gallery of the Norwich School of painters. Fascinating collection of teapots and a very good museum generally. They are going to massively improve the rather dark keep in the next few years. I used to love the dioramas of Norfolk wildlife when I was a child, but these days I feel very differently about stuffed animals. Still, you can avoid that bit if you want to!

My daughter lost her ear muffs there the other day on the schoold trip. I rang them to check if someone found them. There are some lovely people working there, they checked everywhere and rang me back later on. Also, my girl loved it there.

Rude staff at the entrance that can't even be bothered to even look you. Prison not open. Tours for the dungeon. we got there at twelve to be told there are no more tours today. Lift out of order but. I see staff using it yet my heavily pregnant wife can't use them. Everything is the same as It was as a kid. 30 years ago and now is very dated.

4 generations of my family have grown up loving the castle. What is not to like? My 2 year old loves it. Entrance fee is very high for a single visit but a yearly membership for two is less than Β£70 and under 4s are free so it's now an excellent deal and we go 4 times a week.
