  Andy at the bar was top notch. My man of the hour at my hour of need! hospitality was on form when I needed it the most 5 star ***** in the words of Arnie 'ill be back'. Many happy returns and a happy New year!

  Good points: helpful reception staff, good breakfast, server pleasant and polite, room was clean and bed comfortable. Bad points, only breakfast available, despite having a restaurant, shower hard to control, bathroom fittings including light/shaver socket delapidated, radiator on max, couldn't adjust as thermostat hanging off

  On our arrival the car park was full it was a match day, when we eventually found a space my partner stepped out of the car onto a dead rat. We entered the hotel the bar and restaurant looked welcoming the reception staff were very pleasant. What a shock we had to come when we got to our room. The room resembled nothing like the images on the website. It was dated old, small, smelled of smoke and was more like a box. The shower area was mouldy and needed a good clean, water was leaking from the room above into our shower tray, the tiles were cracked the extracter fan didn't work and after using the toilet the smell was left to linger, and drift into the room as it was a sliding door between the toilet and bedroom and there was no opening window. No privacy in the room as the window faced another window in an adjacent building, so we had to keep the curtains closed. No WiFi code given or welcome pack in the room. The Only plus the staff were pleasant, breakfast we didn't want to risk. Would we stay again the answer is a definite No.
