  Reasonably nice place for a conference with several rooms of different sizes. Location is very good within Norwich central area. Catering was only ok I would say.

  Excellent place for kids and kids activities. Nice cafe as well. Safe place for teens

  I have been to several gigs and events at Open, and it is a lovely venue and I have always been more than happy with the service, but the new booking system in place is deceiving and makes no sense. I went in earlier today to buy tickets for an event later this month, advertised at £7 each, and was told that there was a booking fee of £1 per ticket on top of the advertised ticket price. I was buying six tickets, expecting to spend £42, but ended up paying £48. Obviously £6 isn't going to kill me, and at the end of the day, an extra pound a ticket isn't a big deal, but I don't understand why there is this unavoidable hidden booking fee. I went into Open itself to buy from the box office direct, because that is how I have been able to avoid paying online booking fees in the past, and the staff on duty were very helpful and apologetic, and explained that the new system in place means that a booking fee is charged even when tickets are bought in person. They very kindly offered to pass my feedback onto the higher management, but I wanted to let anyone else who might be looking to buy tickets know about this extra charge. I suggest reverting to the old system, or incorporating the booking fee into the advertised price, so at least there wouldn't be any surprise cost.

  We held an amazing 'Inspiring Females' event at OPEN, which hosted over 320 young women, who were listening to, and being 'inspired' by more than 30 female awesome guest speakers / workshop hosts. It was a fast-paced, full-on, fun day and completely drew on all skill sets OPEN and their top teams could offer. It was demanding! They were seriously terrific... and I have been part of massive, live music events in London, and the teams at OPEN held their own. Most impressed. Inspiring Females involved taking over most of OPEN for a day, using technology, soundtracks, catering, guest talks, live panel discussions, workshops in every room / feasible space ..SO happy and impressed with the team at OPEN, nothing was too much trouble for them, and they really delivered on the day, vital for our events buzzing success. It's such a terrific venue in terms of space and stature too : from the might of the banquet hall through to the variety of well-presented, 'cool' meeting room spaces. All round, it's a definite 'YES' for OPEN from all IF team. Thank you!
