Some good some bad.... NOT FOR LARGE GROUPS Good points - Nice modern rooms - Great full English breakfast (Staff on first day very helpful and friendly) - Great Location - Welcoming staff (On the day of checking in, even took pics for us) Bad Points - Rooms not next to each other, as requested - Before arriving, and that we were a large group of ladies on a hen do, we requested to have our rooms allocated next to each other, this was to minimise any disruption to other guests - Not for large groups/Hen do's etc - On our second night, we went to Bangor to celebrate and came back to the hotel in the early hours (around 3:30/4am, some of the group came back to our room for 10 minutes and yes it would have been noisy, but then they left and we were getting ready for bed, and got a knock at the door. I opened the door, to a very tall man and a lady standing next to him, to be told "you need to keep the noise down, or i am chucking you out of the hotel" i explained the situation, and that it was now just myself and my mum. There was no introduction by this man, or lady, so i was baffled as to who they were, so i asked. He said "i work for the hotel" and when prompted the lady said "she was the one who complained. We said "we're very sorry, but as you can see it's just us now, so no more noise will occur" the man then said "I will call the police and remove you all from the hotel" I then said "are you joking, it was 10 minutes, there is no noise now and nor will there be." The lady then started crying saying "you should have respect, i have a young child" I said "we have apologised numerous times now, you are clearly very emotional, we have children of our own, we would not want to upset you" She then said "i am here to pick up my fathers ashes" I said "Look, we have apologised what more do you want from us" which with all the noise then happening with this, one of the party came out to ask what the issue was etc, which then led to the man who worked to say "thats it i am calling the Police" 3 police cars arrived to arrest us and remove us from the hotel, but this was dropped. Firstly, i am disgusted at how this member of staff dealt with this complaint; - By allowing the lady who had complained to stand there and watch whilst we were confronted about the noise. - Then, to not introduce yourself by way of "Hi i am x and am part of the night staff here at the Premier Inn. Unfortunately, we have received a complaint and would appreciate it if you could please keep the noise down". - To threaten to remove you all from the property, due to one complaint. - And to then not accept the apology, but then allow the lady to start an altercation with us. - Unbeknown to us, the lady had already shouted at the group as she was walking through, telling them to have respect, thus being confrontational. -This could have all been avoided, if this staff member had dealt with this correctly. I am also utterly disappointed that at breakfast the manager then asked me (As i had a hen do top on) are you the hen do, and i said yes, to then be told he has heard about us and all the noise we made, which has led to them having to refund two rooms! I thought this, was again confrontational, poking the fire (so to speak) and completely unprofessional and terrible behaviour from a member of staff, who said he hadn't even reviewed the footage but had heard i had sworn at the night staff, which is a complete fabrication. Let's face it, if it was that bad and the lady felt intimated, why did her husband not come out of the room? Or why did she go to her room. This completely ruined our stay. If you had put us all together as requested, this would not have happened. And to put a woman, husband and child next to a hen do, is ludicrous. The morning after, was like a public shaming, where staff were noticeably rude to us.

Clean and fresh with a good bar/restaurant on site (which is good as anything else needs to be driven to...and probably isn't as good).

Rooms are very clean and kept to a great standard. We enjoyed our stay very much and would like to thank the staff for being so helpful. The restraunt on the corner is great for afternoon drinks and food.
