  An excellent and helpful Premier Inn with lots of good resources in walking distance. This became my default hotel towards the end of my time visiting Peterborough for work. Some of the regular clientele (travellers for work - the car park is often stuffed with transit vans and company Audis and Beemers) could be a little loud and inconsiderate, smoking and vaping like trains outside, so even in the summer you might need to shut your window. And this is where the star is dropped. No air conditioning (at least there wasn’t when I stayed there). So it can be hot indoors in the summer and your choices is : uncomfortably warm or; inhaling secondhand smoke from and hearing the loud phone conversation of the rep loitering outside your bedroom window. Please don’t be put off by that though. It is a good hotel and there are lots of rooms away from the loitering zone. Also on weekends the clientele are holidayers not people travelling for work. If you want to eat, there are about 10 restaurants / takeaways / convenience stores / food outlets within a brisk 10 minute walk.

  Really lovely service. I had completely lost my voice and every member of staff I encountered tried their hardest to help without me needing to speak. In particular the chap at the bar who took my order. We all enjoyed our buffet. The only criticism is that the toilets near the play area were out of order again.

  A lovely relaxing place to eat great if you have children then they can play in the play area

  I stay here a lot for work, but not for the good choice of hotel, but for the convenience of other restaurants across the road as I get bored of the menu at brewers. Rooms are standard across premier inns and this is the new style rooms. Comfy bed to lay after hard days graft is all I ask. Service in the restaurant is touch and go here, last night in particular was rubbish. I ordered at food as a large table were waiting to be seated, yet they managed to have their food brought out piping hot where as mine came out after theirs once I'd questioned it, with the warmest thing on my plate being the coleslaw. Waitress wasnt really interested as concentrating on the table where her tips would come from. As I've said, I stay here for convenience.

  Big shout out to Beverly who worked behind the desk helping us try and figure out our last minute bookings for a funeral. Made our stay infinitely easier! Room was clean with a bath always a plus!
