Had a lovely stay here in December. All the staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. Will be staying again later in the year.

Good friendly staff both on reception and at breakfast in the restaurant. Hotel was clean but very tired and dated and badly in need of a revamp. On arrival the cigarette butts on the ground outside both the hotel and adjoining Brewers Fayre were an instant turn off and the tired looking reception had a drinks and snack machine which was very dirty. As it is in reception you would think it would be kept clean. The other downside is it is situated right next to a funfair which luckily was not on at the time but we did not recall knowing about this at booking. Premier Inn really need to invest time and money into this well situated hotel to bring it up to the high standard of others.

Breakfast is served in the adjoining Brewers Fayre pub. One particular benefit for parents is that the kids can play in the debt size softplay for free, particularly handy if you're not in a hurry to head off or the weather's not great for walking down the esplanade. Hotel is clean but starting to feel a little tired (feels very quaint to use an actual key in a hotel). Rooms are all upstairs with around half having sea views, the rest look over the Royal Navy sports ground. For families there's also a good play area just across the road. Location wise the only downside is that there aren't any shops in the immediate vicinity.

lovely room. We had dinner on arrival and breakfast in the morning and both meals were good. Staff were friendly and professional.
