  Good, friendly reception and hotel, in a quiet location. Clean rooms. Not a busy hotel on this weekend. The restaurant and pub get a bit rowdy at the weekend, food fine though. . No morning paper deliveries available at the hotel.

  Plenty of free parking. The staff on reception are all very good, always smiling and welcoming. I had room 101 which is at the top of the stairs near the lift so not the quietest place with other guests banging about at night. Don't know if they have changed the pillows but they don't feel as comfortable as they used too. Having said that the room itself was comfortable enough with all you'd expect from Premier Inn. Didn't eat in the Beefeater in the evening on this occasion but have in the past and it's generally very good. As per usual the breakfast is all you can eat, continental is self service with the hot food cooked to order. It's handy for business in the area so I'll stay again.

  We were there Sat 13 Jan not overly busy by first impressions, but soon found out that there seemed to be a shortage of staff. We had reserved a table for seven and as we were about ten minutes early we were asked to wait as our table was not ready. We found a seat and went to the bar for a drink and wait for the rest of our family , when the rest of the family arrived we had a drink and waited for the table to be ready it was 1830 when they told us it was ready, the people who were at the table previously had left at 1752 so it took them over 35 min to prepare the table. When we eventually got served and had started our meal we asked for more drinks and got them 15 min later after having to ask for them again. The majority of the food was good but on my plate I had hard eggs and some of my chips were hard, they replaced my eggs bit the hard chips I tasted later and just decided to leave them . I will try the Beefeater again but I hope I choose a night when they have enough staff to make it a good experience all round and not a poor excuse.
