  Temple in itself is a really good for Hindu to carry out their religious duties: however I had a really bad experience with the trusty specially a gentleman named Bharat. Today 1st January 2018 on a Christian new year I visited the temple with my family. I saw havan kund on and no one was around. I tried to look for someone I could talk to about Ahuti. Unable to find anyone so I decided to use the Samagri available for havan and than pay for the service. In the mean time Bharat comes in asked me in a very rude and inappropriate behaviour what I was doing as he Cannot see himself so I told him of my intention. Bharat than told me that this is not a public place that anyone can come in and do the rituals. I was amazed as this is a Gods place and he even don’t know how to speak to the devotees. I said it is not being used right now and if I can have a priest and the space available I would like to perform the rituals to which he said that you need to prebook the service. Bharat’s behaviour was not appropriate for a temples committee member as I don’t know what his position is within the temple. Harshad Soni

  The temple is located within walking distance from Stratford and Maryland rail station and close to several bus stops. It is open from around 8 am to 8 pm. There are idols of many deities and a spiritual leader. One can come to pray according to his/her own way or ask the priest to officiate. One can get 'prasad' (fruits and/or food previously offered to the deities) as part of blessing. People come with their families and children. Prayers are done several times and people can join in singing and praying. Nothing is compulsory excepting taking shoes off before entering the prayer room.
