  Hotel is situated in the perfect position to visit Bath for the weekend. However, walking through the door is like stepping back in time. the lobby and staircase hasnt been decorated in years. The hotel charges £10 for the car park even though the street outside was free after 7 o clock. there was a group of people being very loud on the floor below us at 2 in the morning so we didn't get much sleep either. There is no food or drink available to order so when you book this place you literally just get a bed for the night. This hotel has an insane amount of potential since it has a lounge, a bar (which is closed) and is walking distance to the centre yet it doesn't live up to it.

  Not the cleanest of hotels no breakfast not that I would eat here. Cracks on the floor tiles in the bathroom plastic cheap furniture and run down. Only benefit close to the city. Would I use again no way

  After reading all other reviews I was regretting my descion to book this hotel..... But to be fair although it is dated old and in desperate need of a make over our room was clean, as were the towels and linen, and I know that should be a given in this day and age but still, put it this way if you have stayed at butlins in economy, you can handle this place. The price reflects the quality and the position is perfect. I don't know who owns the hotel but honestly a little investment could make all the difference. Oh yes, and the staff we encountered were perfectly pleasant..... So all in all if your looking for cheap this is.... for a reason.

  I'm giving it four stars for effort on the basis that when I stayed in it in December 2017 it was a lot better than when I used to stay there fairly regularly a few years ago. My room had obviously been refurbished done then. It may seem expensive for what you get, but don't forget that at busy times you're unlikely to find anything cheaper on central Bath. It's actually a very good place if you just want a room to crash in overnight.

  This place was probably very nice once, but it's in bad need of a face-lift. Bar is shown on the website but it was shut when we stayed there. Room was clean and electric tea kettle was provided, that made a pleasant start to the morning at least. Very conveniently located to the city center and reasonable pricing, that's about all I can say that's nice about this place. Mattress and pillow were thin, blankets were unpleasantly coarse and the room was very hot even though it was cold out. My suggestion? If you want to save money whilst staying in Bath, skip this place and get an Air BnB.
