  This cafe is MUCH larger on the inside than it appears from outside. Inside it is large, airy with with high ceilings and further lightened by lots of (possibly fake) plants hanging near the roof. We were here for a working brunch and received no complaints despite taking up three tables with laptops and work discussions. Instead we got attentive service with websites bottles of water. Oh and the coffee was great too.

  The staff while nice can be slow at times. The coffee remains excellent, best in Brighton in my opinion. Not sure if I like the new interior compared to the old one but at least it's still well lit and feels airy.

  My boyfriend and I have been before and really loved it so decided to come back for Valentine's day Brunch; however today we were very disappointed for a number of reasons. 1. The whole place was freezing, when we mentioned this to the waitress nothing was done, another customer kept getting up to shut the outside door. We sat shivering with our coats on throughout the meal. 2. The food was average. I ordered the heritage tomatoes, avocado and lentils; the avocado was absent from the plate save for a pitiful smear, I requested more and a waitress reluctantly brought some after suggesting I paid for an extra side of avocado. The description 'heritage' tomatoes was a misnomer; there were none to be seen on the plate, only tasteless beef tomatoes. The lentils were under seasoned and the whole dish was flavourless. 3. My boyfriend chose the full english which in spite of its eloquent adjectives was simply a full english, average but not special. It was expensive for essentially an average brunch

  Used to be great, now generic and over-priced. Red Roaster used to feel like a place for the community, it had a true Brighton feel. It was the place to go for a hot chocolate - thick, creamy and real. Now you just get an average hot chocolate, the same as could be got anywhere. The coffee is still great, but the atmosphere has gone. Local art has been replaced by fake ivy and great cakes by expensive brunch. The only positive in this very disappointing renovation is the much needed work on the toilets.

  Na, es geht so! Teuer und wenig Auswahl. Relativ ungemütlich zu sitzen.
