  It was a very nice shop, everyone was helpful. I was able to ship my package home. I had a very nice light lunch upstairs. Downstairs, I was introduced to Violet gin made in Scotland.... it was amazing!

  Visited this shop as a tourist on the 6th of January and was shocked by the rudeness and unhelpfulness of the two staff members I dealt with. Both ladies were hostile, curt, and unhelpful. I also felt that they treated me very differently from others in the shop, who were white, so I could not help thinking there was some racial bias. I liked the products I purchased but I will never visit this shop again.

  I am only giving it 1 star as I can't give it anyou lower! I recently visited Edinburgh which I normally do at least once every 2 years .. I popped in to pick up some shortbread and St Andrews Ale .. when I got back to Manchester I noticed what I had bought was out of date which was completely unacceptable considering the best before was August 2016 and I purchased in December 2016!! I expected a lot more from Romanes & Patersons and this has completely put me off ever going again!!
