Great views but some concerns about the site. Some tiny caravans at the bottom of the site are vastly more expensive despite having no better access to the beach or significantly improved views so what gives there? Some very odd locations of aerial and power sockets in caravans such as high up in a bedroom with no means of putting a TV anywhere near it despite there being a decent but pointless aerial amplifier. A decent TV in the main room but it would help if all ports were available on a separate box. This is rare though and didn't bother us. A lack of insulation in the caravans means it's slow to heat up but heating is then overpowering as there are oddly no thermostatic radiator valves. Plus no heating in the toilets. Sofas were stained and not very comfortable. They needed a higher back and extra cushions to make them more comfortable but at least a clean and the extra cushions. A nice pool is on site but we found the pool water dirty on the first visit. Plus the changing room is very cramped. It made coping with an autistic child awkward. We didn't sample the club house on this visit partly due to how cold it was but I noticed a decent array of cider which would have kept me happy and there were evening events planned. Overall a nice quiet site with nothing but countryside smells and a great view of the beach around it. Sandymouth beach is a recommended visit but you will need to walk over rocks (wellies are recommended) and parking varies from £1 depending upon time of year but free for blue badge holders.

We had the most wonderful break with our girls over half term. Sandymouth provides wonderful facilities a short car ride from Bude. The accommodation was clean and well stocked, exactly what you needed for a self-catering holiday. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you.

Had a great mini break with our little one. Clean and modern park with quality caravans that are quite modern. Great family swimming pool and top notch soft play area for the younger ones. Can walk down to the beach however access for disabled can be limited so call ahead and reserve the right location close to amenities and on the level. The bar and restaurant are not bad and they have a small shop for last minute essentials. It's in a quiet location so you would need a car however a short drive to the towns.

Superb place to visit. The swimming pool is really good. Very family orientated. Nice changing rooms. Super warm showers and just great facilities. Pool is at a lovely temp so you can stay in for quite a while. Pool is one depth - 1.2m I think but ideal for youngsters just learning to swim. The resort also has other facilities that we didn't access today. The carvery on a Sunday looks great value and hope to test it soon.

Everything is brand new, beautiful views of the sea and the rolling hills and the opposite coastlines. Superb food in the restaurant and bistro. Very very welcoming and friendly hosts and hostesses, even maintenance persons smile and gesture a welcome. And highly maintained too. Lovely indoor soft play area for toddlers, outside pirate ship adventure for older kids, football area, archery, trim trail, outdoor play areas for all ages, looks as though it's being added to. Indoor pool, and outdoor splash area for little ones all close to the bar/bistro/coffee shop, and aptly named "corner shop",all the necessaries,no money wasters! Modern. Impressed with every caravan/Hut/lodge having it's own seating area outside for all fresco dining, lodges even have barbeque facilities. Lodge was exceptionally high standard and well equipped,we had the sweetest little tin suitcase on arrival with our lodge keys inside, robes and towels(hotel style) on our beds, breakfast essentials in our lodge on arrival. our only gripe was we couldn't open any of the windows to allow the air in because at least one should have fly screens-my personal annoyance when there are so many reasons to want to open the windows to let the outside in-flies! Maybe Sandymouth holidays could look into considering installing one or two screens? Overall,we couldn't fault the resort on any level,if we could we'd give it six stars. It's the little things! Fabulous.
