  I have been visiting Sherwood dental for years now and I must say the recent changes with the new dentists has been the best ever. Modern and friendly it is dare I say it a pleasure to go. The dentists are honest and everything they say they prove with photos and X-rays. Best practice in Nottingham by a mild. Highly recommended.

  I had been impressed initially with this practice. However, having missed 2 appointments in 1 year, I find myself no longer wanted as a NHS patient - although I have been given the option to remain on the books should I become a private one! I fully understand that missed appointments are costly, but the practice does not make it crystal clear that it has a '2 strikes and you're out policy'. In fact it states that 'you may be refused further treatment'. It does not state how many missed appointments would trigger this possibility. And if it is only 'may', then surely a reason such as having food poisoning should be enough? I admit that I did not call on the day, but that is due to being ill and having no-one else to do that for me. I have had treatment on one tooth 3 times - and each time it has failed. It strikes me that they are using this policy as an excuse to get rid of what the practice considers to be 'troublesome' or non-profit making treatments/patients. Avoid.

  I have been seeing Dr Mayur Patel now for almost 10 years following him from his previous practice. I travel from Leicester to see him but it is absolutely worth it. I’ve seen a lot of dentists in my time but can I just say Mayur is the best. Kind considerate and caring with a chair side manner second to none. Always very honest and spends time talking to you. Staff at the practice are amazing and so efficient. Would recommend this place to anyone. Worth the 2 hour round trip.

  Best practice I’ve ever been to. So friendly and courteous and treated me no nicely. I’m such a nervous patient and the dentist was so nice. Just gave me all the options and left me to make my own decision. They take pictures and photos of your teeth and actually sit down and explain eveything in such great detail. Thank you Sherwood dental care for restoring my faith in dentists.

  After having had a bad dental experience previously and being afraid of treatment due to an illness I have affecting nerves in the face and teeth I was petrified of dentists. I had let my teeth get into a bad way but the new dentist here has made my experience so much better. He always calms me down gives me an anaesthetic before any treatment and is sympathetic to my needs. He's brilliant. The receptionists are always helpful and polite and the dental assistants too. I would recommend this dentist. They've also been very good with my daughters teeth too. Excellent service
