  As a specs wearer I use Specsavers as my go to optician. None other than first class service here. Great staff who know their stuff - a brilliant selection of glasses Including designer frames and a quick turn around.

  I visited specsavers Kirkby in January of this year for normal eye test, and to purchase new glasses. I picked a pair with no issues, but found it difficult choosing another set within the £89 price range. Thankfully the assistant found me a pair which I was happy with. Please note that I would not have completed this purchase if I could not get a second pair, as financially it would not be viable (and other stores can offer similar quality at massively reduced prices). I was called by the store to tell me that they were available to pick up, only to come away empty handed as one pair was out of stock, a couple of weeks later I was told that they were discontinued. I looked around, even being prepared to pay more, but I do not like any others. Kirkby store will not provide me with a refund covering half of the total cost, I think that this is fair to ask for when it is not my fault they cannot complete the order as originally agreed. After contacting the manager of store, and getting no joy. I contacted the managing director of specsavers – who referred me back to the manager of the store, this was frustrating after I specifically asked for them not to do this. I have spent a fortune on one pair of glasses, and I will NEVER go back to specsavers again. If you want reasonable priced glasses then find another shop – I will avoid now at all costs. I am sure that the Kirkby store does not mind this review, as let’s face it they have my £118 for one pair of mid quality glasses, and I feel totally robbed and un-valued as a customer.

  Very helpful lots of selection of glasses opticians are very kind great staff highly recommend
