Carpel tunnel op under NHS. Surgeon was brilliant and the op was a great success. Why 3*? I was sent home with no painkillers despite my gp saying they would be supplied. I think the surgeon forgot to tick the box and the carer was afraid to query the error. That is potentially dangerous and indicates an unsafe culture. There was no after-op survey to comment on this. Luckily I had some old pills from my hip-op five years before.

I can't comment on the treatment as I never got to see the specialist due to the fact it would have been 1 hour after my appointment and I couldn't wait that long. NHS standards at private prices!

Had keyhole surgery on my knee(arthoscopy) at the Spire and the entire experiènce was first class. Right from entering the building ..its more like a 5 star hotel than a hospital. Everyone is helpful and make you feel welcome. Great food..very comfortable room. Couldnt ask for anymore. 10 / 10 for sure

My treatment at the Spire was my first time having any medical treatment done privately. And from this experience I shall now carry on getting my medical treatment from the NHS. I had a small Op on my ankle, it was just a day case. Was meant to be in for five hours and ended up being discharged after nine and a half, but only as I was going to discharge myself after getting told numerous times the doctor was going to see me to give a post Op run-down etc etc. I do credit a few of the staff members who did give exemplary care but on the whole your better off saving your money.
