  I'm not sure what to think.. It looks like the job's been done well but is 40 pounds a normal price for brake pads and cables replacement? (certainly not what I expected) For comparison I just asked at Cam Cycles and was quoted 24 pounds for the same service, front and rear - I think I might go there next time

  We started taking our bikes to Steve several years ago and he has kept all of our (many) bikes on the road. He even gives us a call after a cycling tour to see how the bikes have performed. Steve gives honest advice, has a real eye for detail and does a great job for a very fair price. We recently bought a new hybrid bike from him and we are really pleased with it and the service we got from Steve We would certainly recommend him ( and his lovely dogs....).
