  Decent food and average prices. Service a little slower than usual even though it was quiet. Overall, pretty good. Would recommend.

  Visited many times however 1st visit today under new management. Warm welcome from friendly staff. Partner and I both had honey almond duck from main menu followed by toffee pudding and cream. Quite simply... the BEST meal we have had! Excellent service and superb quality. Taste was unbelieveable. Cannot wait to go again. Thank you!

  Went for lunch and ordered from the light bites menu. My parents had the gammon, with chips, peas, egg and pineapple. A good sized portion for lunch. I had the steak with chips and a little salad garnish. I like my steak rare, and this one was as rare as it could've been as it was a thin piece. Would go back again, and try something from the main menu.

  I had lamb with truffle ravioli. It was full of flavour- just delicious! Followed by Apple flan with salted caramel ice cream and hot toffee sauce. So worth the guilty calories, really reasonably priced and served by friendly staff. Would definately recommend it!

  Attended yesterday for a family birthday meal. First meal here since the change of management, we've been coming to the Birley for 10 years in the past the foods been good but nothing memorable and this time the food was amazing, tasty, good quality and great size. The staff are also very helpful, friendly and do everything with a smile. They made a gluten free birthday cake for us and it was one of the best cakes I've ever had. Earnest won the hearts of many members of our family who wanted to take him home and keep him, just a really happy, lovely guy. Highly recommend the food and the staff.
