The hotel is in a good location overlooking the sea. It has a decent sized pool and sauna. Our bedroom had a sea view which was a bonus since the room itself was a bit tired. Shower was over the bath with a plastic shower curtain.... never the best arrangement. We stayed for a weekend which had two groups staying. Buffet breakfast was Ok although a waiter was there to serve rather than help yourself. The eve meals offered 3 choices for each course but vegetable and potato portions were too small. Roast potatoes were over cooked with very hard skins. The waitresses varied in quality. A couple of the older ladies were abrupt and edging on rude, trying to rush orders saying the chef wanted to get home!!! Reception staff were polite as were the bar staff. I think parts of the hotel needs an upgrade as does the image and professionalism of staff. Need to look for deals to make it value for money.

We visited this hotel at the start of March for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the bed (which was 2 single beds zipped together). Bed size is always a worry for me because I'm 6ft5 and don't fit in doubles comfortably. Our room had a ceiling fan which was a nice addition and a good, powerful walk in shower. Due to the awkward shape of the room the TV was in an odd place and because our beds were zipped together, the plug outlets were very difficult to access which is an important thing to a young couple with lots of electronics. The toilet wasn't attached to the floor in our en suite and it seemed the only thing holding it in place was the lino. I also had to fix the sliding door on the shower before I could use it. With mismatching bulbs, lampshades missing, outdated decor and a broken vanity light and hair dryer, it's the little things that made the stay feel a little less luxurious than it should. Our room was situated above the dining hall and on our second night there was a cliff Richard tribute act playing there. The law says that noise levels should be reduced at 11pm.. In a hotel, where people have come to have a relaxing break you'd think it would be earlier, 10pm seems reasonable but in this hotel the music and bass went on until 11.40pm. Very disappointing. The breakfast service was great at the hotel, I really enjoyed the food and they were able to cater to my health condition and provide caffeine free hot drinks. The pool was a nice extra, as well as the sauna and steam room. All staff were great at the hotel and felt approachable if we had an issue. All in all we enjoyed our stay but because of the issues listed I couldn't give this place higher than 3*

Hotel looking at bit tired In need of upgrading in areas . Bedroom functional but dated. Breakfast buffet excellent evening meal not quite as good. Friendly bar area serving bar snacks. Friendly an helpful staff. Hotel has large free car parking and overlooks the sea. Situated within walking distance of town centre and near to bus services into Blackpool. You get what you pay for.

Had a fabulous time. Food excellent. Bar snacks amazing. Entertainment very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. One flaw! The lift. Too small for my liking. Otherwise a great time.

Lovely clean and welcoming hotel. Staff very friendly and willing to help anyway they can. We had a room with a view of the sea and was very spacious. It was brilliant to be able to make a tea or coffee whilst in the room and you only had to ask for more if you ran out of anything. We had a lunch snack in the bar which was delicious and the choice was immense. Would certainly return to this hotel.
