  Very good welcome; facilities excellent and food in restaurant was brilliant. Left 1st ar off because of very poor parking but otherwise a really good stay.

  I gave 5 stars for the staff, they were really helpful and friendly, the room was very clean but quite dated but it was just somewhere to put your head for a night.

  The hotel was generally very pleasant. A warm welcome from friendly staff. There are a few aspects that weren't great but can't be improved due to the nature of the old building; narrow corridors, creaky stairs and floorboards, original windows that are drafty and not sound proof. The room was very clean and decor was quite modern. A good selection of teas, coffee and biscuits. A complimentary bottle of water might be nice but not essential. The bed was very comfy although a blanket instead of duvet is not my preference, blankets seem old fashioned to me and I hate the feel of them but I sleep pretty well. The bathroom was clean although very small. There was no temperature control so the bathroom was incredibly hot. The shower head was very poor and had a very narrow head so very concentrated jet. The pressure and temperature were fine but a wider head would make it much nicer. The light built into the morrow would not turn off so had to keep the door shut so it didn't keep me awake. My biggest issue with hotels is when there is no plug socket near the bed / bedside table. I'm sure most people are like me and wish to charge their phone overnight and use it for an alarm where they don't want it on the opposite side of the room. This really annoys me these days. Breakfast was good. Very nice quality and variety. Once again the service was good with friendly staff. All in all it was an ok experience, I slept well and was comfy but there were a few small things that could make it much better I think. I would return bit feel some of the bigger chains actually offer more for your money with a more rounded experience.

  The location is great. Not too far from the Clifton shops and restaurants and also in close proximity to the famous Bristol bridge. Room was very cozy and clean. Service was great too. I would definitely chose this hotel again if I wanted to go to Bristol.

  Good price and location close to university. Both room and bathroom were a bit small, but for one night provided all I needed, so no complaints. Did its job as expected! Friendly staff, and a nice pub downstairs!
