Great fish and chips, photo is of lunch time special £6 inc tea. I've also had the baked monkfish, on recommendation, a slightly healthier option which was amazing. Fish cakes are also fantastic, no more fish surprise fish cakes!

Me and my partner went to The Cod's Scallops yesterday and it was pretty good. The wide range of choice we had and all the different fish we had the opportunity to try. Alot better than other competitors locally and I'm sure this will be our first point of call. Slightly more expensive but it's worth it if you like fish.

Its a nice Chippy, but very expensive. It is very popular during the lunchtimes but most of that is owed to hype. The servings are very good and you are certainly not left feeling hungry. However, although it is all down to personal taste, I found the fish and chips quite greasy. That said, it's all taste driven and it is clearly stated that everything is cooked in beef dripping. All things considered it was a nice meal out to discover what all the hype was about. Fish, Chips and Peas twice came to £25. Yep you read that right - twenty five quid. I have had nicer food at the local chippy, but the local chippy does not have the overheads of a proper restaurant. I was good to go once, but I wouldn't return.

Very cheerful seaside decor. Loved the tablemats (based on saucy postcards). Great choice of fish on the menu and my cod was truly delicious. Very generous portions!

This is the best fish and chip restaurant I have ever been to. I was born by the sea (on a small island) and grew up with fresh fish as a staple. Nothing has come close to those memories of the high quality and choice of fresh battered or baked fish (and in the case of this restaurant tasted so much better than the memories of those years by the sea). The restaurant is thoughtfully themed with fun elements, and the staff are superb. There's also plenty of choice on the menu and it's very filling. I highly recommend this place.
