::About 8 months ago my wife and I visited this Pub, it had great food and friendly staff and was just a nice cosy place. We visited this pub again a week ago and took my Mum with us this time, and it was like a different pub - the food was average and over priced and the service was poor... it was like we were an inconvenience to them!

::Went today for lunch and I'm delighted I did .Have been several times before but only for bar food and drinks. Its a beautiful quaint pub with rooms leading off the bar and also a restaurant. Sat in the bar area with a wonderful open fire. I had the soup of the day and also the game pie..Both were fabulous..The service is excellent with a team that are eager to please. Its a long time since I have enjoyed such good hearty cooking. Would highly recommend this gem ..But don't spoil it for the locals.

::Lovely cosy country pub. We came in late just for drinks and were made to feel welcome straight away. As a couple in our group had birthdays we asked if we could bring in a cake and where happy when we were told we could. Nice selection of drinks and the menu looked good even though we didn't eat this time.
