  Stayed overnight due to the excellent promotion they have on due to the scaffolding covering the entire front. Yet the room was pretty bare- comedy creaking floorboards and was stone cold (with chilly weather). Radiator was turned off, but we were unaware so had to call up reception- who provided us with a heater! Staff absolutely great- informal yet very professional. Breakfast ok- needed poached eggs and hash browns, and soy milk options. Beautiful lobby and bar areas.

  It's among our favourite venues and great value for money for a four- star classic seaside hotel. Sunday lunch was superb but we were rather disappointed that there was no hot food available on our return at 10pm from the X Factor Live event at the Brighton Centre next door. Obliging staff however arranged for sandwiches to be provided from the room service menu and served in the lounge with our drinks.

  One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. We had a huge room on the 6th floor with a great bathroom. The in-room toiletries were of very high quality. Lobby and bar are beautiful too. Breakfast consisted of a massive selection of items including some delicious fresh fruit, coffee was also really good. All the staff we interacted with were happy and helpful. Looking forward to staying here again.

  Stayed here for a weekend birthday trip where the hotel was hired out for us and all party guests. Fantastic facilities available to hand with a great team that is very attentive, professional and courteous. Extremely helpful during our stay. Large banqueting area that was transformed on both days to two different themes. Short turnaround time yet still delivered a fantastic experience to the 1000+ guests in attendance

  We stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel is well situated on the seafront and close to central Brighton. Inside, the hotel is indeed grand and walking in you get a real sense of luxury. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast is great, the room was comfortable and well equipped and the concierge facility is a real bonus. The reason for 3 stars is that there was a wedding on the night we stayed with loud music playing until around 1 in the morning which combined with the continual flashing light on the ceiling made it very difficult to sleep. The shower was also broken and only had one temperature of 'too hot'. These are things that would normally not bother us too much but considering the cost to stay at this hotel, we expected more.
