  Scenic venue. Great views of the Forth Rail Bridge. Friendly staff good selection of hot and cold drinks. Plenty of tables. Toilets clean and modern. Small car park at the rear.

  Great place. The hotel is very authentic and old school. It's no luxury and there are a few things that are dated, but it has a perfect atmosphere and the staff is friendly. Location is spot on if you want to travel to Edinburgh or just have a stroll around town. The pub has an incredible interior and the food is delicious. Also the breakfast pastry are fresh.

  Very pleasant gastro pub with tasteful clean comfortable furnishings. Good bar. Friendly service. Haven't eaten there but would expect it to be good. I would definitely go there on spec for a meal. Great location by the forth rail bridge. Lots of engineering history in the pub.

  Excellent menu all beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Venison was perfect. Would have taken off a missing star due to strange setup of the service. We were served by no less than 5 people, all dealing with our order. Maybe because of the quaint layout of the restaurant it prevents one or two people dealing with a set area of customers. This is a definite 5 star due to the menu and surroundings but would have enjoyed the experience had we just had a bit more contact with our waiter/ waitress.
