  Absolutely perfect. I was visiting York and dined here for my birthday the atmosphere food and wine was just superb highly recommend. Service was first class and the waiter was both pleasant and helpful a great place to dine for all occasions.

  The wife and I went here for our anniversary and it was excellent. The staff are brilliant. From walking in the door, having your meal and then leaving all the staff make you feel special. The service is excellent. The food is amongst the nicest food we have tasted. We had a shepherd's pie for our main course and the lamb inside was the most beautiful we have tasted.

  Excellent British restaurant serving well presented quality dishes. Nice ambience with friendly, helpful staff. Prices good value, certainly not cheap. Great location. What's not to like!

  We visited The Ivy York yesterday for lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were treated extremely well from the minute we walked through the door until we left. Our waiter Johnny was friendly, polite, respectful and made sure that we fully enjoyed our dining experience. The food was superb, the swordfish was without doubt the best I have ever tasted while the lamb my wife was served melted in the mouth. Lovely decor and ambiance. An excellent afternoon. We will be back.

  Brand Ivy has a certain reputation. We travelled from Bolton for the experience We understand that you are still in training mode. ..and as such offer our feedback. A bottle of wine ordered at the bar, of which a glass we hadn't finished was offered to be brought to the table, we leave without sight or apology. We ordered our second bottle of wine which was poured like water, to well over two thirds of a glass each time. When given, not offered: a top up, not at our request; after indicating that we'd got enough we were told 'Here finish it, it's the end anyway' We wish you well, we will be back. We appreciate that the team is still in training However, perhaps remind your beautiful staff evert day, that they have a reputation to support! people are coming because they have heard about The Ivy, it has a reputation which they are here to uphold. It's not just a job, its a lifestyle commitment! It's hard work, rewarded with the knowledge that our soul purpose is to serve others & as such we are rewarded with the knowledge that we have achieved that.
