  Had a lovely meal. The garlic bread was amazing! My fish and chips were beautiful. Only thing was the batter on my son's chicken goujons was a too soggy inside. Lovely place though.

  No parking and no elevator. So, the check in process for a tired one is kind of excruciating thing. The front desk service is so fast that you can't even process everything that the young lady is saying. Seems to be that she was in a big hurry. By the other side it's very well located, near everything in town and a beautiful historic building. The owner could have built a superb hotel, but he or she decided to settle for a pretty average lodge. At 06:30 AM the hotel has a "wake up" service free of charge, when they receive beer for their pub. Be aware that is not allowed here to have a good sleeping night. Unfortunately it will not be my first option when I return to Yorkshire. In two words, unrealized potential.

  Our first visit to Judges Lodging.... Been to the restaurant for a meal.... So glad we come here.... The food was beautiful.... Staff so genuine friendly and helpful.... Special thanks to Samantha for being the perfect host and also for making us feel so welcome and making us feel at ease.... Looking forward to returning in april.... Would recommend to one and all. A hidden gem. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making sue birthday dinner so special. Wonderful service, food and drink. A wonderful evening XX

  Lovely bar and food... both children and dogs are welcomed however it can get a bit noisy at times. Irrespective of time year, we love it here. Wonderful seating area outside the front of the bar , at the back of the bar and on the terrace - the terrace also has points for laptops and to charge your phone. If you are wanting a luxury - they are a couple of rooms upstairs where you can also dine with lovely sofas with waitress/waiter service... I have lived in York are most 9 years and I do not think you can find anyway that you can say something good about all aspects of the bar the Gardens the staff the food and the hotel xxx

  El sitio es muy agradable y acogedor para echar una pinta de Ale o Sidra. La Ale Wainwright de las mejores que he probado. Sobre la comida no puedo opinar pq no probamos nada pero tenía muy buena pinta
