  Came today for the Sunday Lunch for my birthday with husband, father and children, I can honestly say it was lovely, the vegetables were cooked with care and attention the meat was beautifully pink and the gravy rich and full of depth, the wine menu is extensive and very reasonably priced so full marks from me as a very fussy chef ! But what really sets this beautiful pub/ restaurant apart is the lovely ambience and attentive staff, the landlady/ host is fantastic and hospitable she really makes for a great dining experience. We will definitely be back and believe me as a ex landlady and working chef I seldom write reviews but this lovely place deserves it so take heed if you want a lovely meal with a great ambience this is definitely for you.

  The best Sunday lunch ever! Be sure to try the Duck, wonderful, as was the beef, the "ambience " and the staff, and the price. Niki was a great host. We'll be back!

  I've been here many times, sometimes for food and sometimes just for a beer. Good range of food and drink options with an excellent wine list.
