  If you want probably the worst run hotel in Blackpool with saturated carpets and the smell of mould and damp then hey, look no further than the Melville Hotel in Adelaide Road Blackpool. What makes your family weekend away even better are the slippery staff particularly the Deputy Manager that that likes to quote the top three excuses for straight out of the Toni Alexandra Bethell's (the owner) recently released book 'Blackpool Hotelliers Guide for Treating your Customers like Idiots' (available at all good bookshops priced £1.99). To quote the top three responses we received when bringing to the Hotels attention that the we had still not been provided with a small leisure boat to get from our beds to the bathroom 1. ' I Cant give you the owners details to discuss your complaint as its not company policy', 2. ' I tried contacting the owner to let her know of your complaint but the line kept breaking up', 3.' She should be here in 10 minutes, oh wait a minute no she wont as I cant get hold of her now - we will call you when you get back home - actually forget that we wont bother contacting you at all'. So to all families, stag do's and hen do's looking to spend a night or two in Blackpool, do yourself a favour and stay at one of the other very many well run establishments in Blackpool that know the true meaning of Customer Care that deserve your hard earned money an don't waste your money at 'The Smellville'. PS you've gotta love the electricians tape 'repair' to stop the water coming out of the radiator pipe.

  Great hotel. Just back from a fantastic weekend. Hotel staff were 1st class. Rooms are basic but ideal for our team of boys. Breakfast is very good and the hotel bar is spot on. Recommend

  £80 for a night!!! What a rip off. Place needs a refurbishment. Manager is very condescending. Much better hotels around for half the price

  Room's need updating and a bit of a noise at night as the walls are not great. Kitchen staff brilliant and the food was great had know problems ,bar staff were very friendly and there was a warm atmosphere inside the bar. I would stay again next year. Great value for your money. See you again you friendly lot

  Absolutely brilliant stay. 2 night stay. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Ideal location out of the main entrance to the left was the houndshill shopping centre.. near the tower. Will be back
