We attended a Christmas party meal, the music was great and was a fun environment for everyone. All in all a great time!

My wife and I recently stayed at your hotel for 4 nights between the dates in October 2017. We were both rather disappointed with our stay and there are several reasons 1. Dirty Room On entry to our room on Monday we were surprised to find that although the room looked ok at first glance, there was in fact dust and cobwebs on the walls and coming of the roof. To add to this this the cups (for the tea and coffee) were dirty, we were forced to clean them ourselves before using them. Also mostly importantly, and rather disturbingly, my wife and I found discarded used needle heads on the floor - this was most disturbing to us and something we do not expect to find inside a hotel room. We were very concerned about what else may lay in/around the room. 2. Cold Water The water supply to the shower was cold at all times. There were several times throughout the week that my wife and I showered, and yet the water was always stone cold. I of course tried using the different taps, only using the hot tap, and even testing the sink water, but they were all cold. For the first few days we showered and washed in freezing water conditions. It was for 3 days that we realised that if the water is ran for around 15 minutes then it does finally get hot, however we were not informed of this. This is poor plumbing, and not something I would expect in a hotel. 3. Disgusting Public toilets There were several occasions throughout the week where I found myself, during or after breakfast, heading to the gents toilets by the residential entrance only to find the floor covered in water and the toilet containing sick. It was clear that the night before bar goers had been unwell and missed the urinal, and had been sick in the toilet, however this had not been cleaned. Not only could I not use the toilet, it took all of my will not to throw up myself having seen this state in which I found the bathroom. In addition there was also no toilet roll whenever I attended, however the point seems rather mute having mentioned the above. 4. Poor Cooked Breakfast With not much to add to the title of this point, my wife and I were disappointed by the standard of cooked breakfast. The food was mildly warm (at best), under cooked and greasy. We did not have it a second time. 5. Room Not Cleaned As avid hikers I am aware that, despite our best efforts, we sometimes brought dirt into our room. A small amount that could have easily been hoovered up. I was however disappointed we we returned the following day to find that our rooms had been ‘cleaned’ (towels folded on the end of our bed) however there was still dirt on the carpets and in the bathroom. In summary, on the whole, it was a very disappointing stay. With a dirty room, cold water, poor food, disgusting toilets and room that was not cleaned, it was a dismal holiday for the two of us.

We stayed for the night en route to Snowdonia national park. The rooms were slightly dusty around the bed side tables. The pub was quiet the night we stayed with only a few people hanging out there. It is a 10 minutes walk to the center of town. The morning full English breakfast (free) was perfect before hiking.
