  Friendly staff, good breakfast room clean and tidy, bed was a little uncomfortable but a nice place in a nice location

  This is our second visit to The Stag Hotel and we absolutely love the sharing platter. The decor is awesome and you really feel as if you're in a country pub. The only negative is that people kept going out the back door which let in a cold draught (especially when children kept holding it open). It may be worth putting a sign up asking people to be considerate to diners? Excellent though and will return.

  Stopped off here after a walk in the forest. Lovely traditional pub. I recommend the Yorkshire pudding wraps, perfect if you don't want a full Sunday roast. Really friendly staff too.

  Dodgy place. Me and my partner came in for a drink and have ordered 2 Beck’s Blue (Alcohol Free Beers). I have been charged £8.30 (£4.15 each). I then heard one waitress saying to the guy who served me “that’s wrong you charged them for normal Beck’s” but they thought I didn’t hear it and pretended nothing was wrong. After checking the price list I went back with my receipt and pointed out that one Beck’s Blue cost £2.85 and not £4.15. At that point the waitress said that the price list is wrong and took it away. I smiled and left, it was hilarious. These are not honest people, stay away.
