  Great place to eat and since new extension built even better .as always staff meet greet and show you a table. Please book your afternoon tea in advance it will be enjoyable . Big thanks to all the staff. Very happy customer

  I rated the Sun Inn a 4 star, I had the pig on a plate which did not disappoint, the only problem was their eagerness to take the plates away before everyone had finished eating. And the slow service on the drinks orders, the staff were focused on something else and lacked eye contact with customers, despite being stood at the end of the table. That being said I enjoy the food here, and on two occasions visiting they have been more than happy to put up Birthday banners etc, and I will return. The G&T on arrival in the bar was also very refreshing.

  A great little find. I was last in this establishment nearly 20 years ago a and to be honest I was not impressed. Lately I was getting my tyres replaced and had a need to “waste”some time, so wandered down to The Sun Inn for a coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to find the place had been refurbished 12 months earlier, so much so I decided to buy breakfast along with my coffee. I had the full Scottish breakfast, which I enjoyed immensely. This is now my favourite place for a breakfast meal in pleasant surroundings. The staff were friendly too, an additional plus. I didn’t give it 5 stars as I didn’t try lunch or dinner. Once I do and I enjoy it as much as my breakfast I will upgrade to 5 stars. As the Terminator said “I’ll be back” 😎

  I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to the exemplary staff at the Sun Inn. I live in America and am not aware of the NHS system. I had an occasion where I needed assistance. The staff dropped all activity to make sure that I got that care. I am eternally grateful to the warm, caring and fabulous staff. As for the rest, the breakfasts are unbelievable. Juice is served in heavy crystal glasses. The Sunday meal is one of the best that I have ever had. Fabulous place!
