  Great place to hang out. Cheaper than most Edinburgh bars and a great scene as Welltree . Trivia on Tuesday night is fun too. This is our go to bar and, on weekends at least, hasn’t disappointed. EDIT: has disappointed. In my earlier review I mentioned that they were cheaper than other Edinburgh bars and that was a major part of my 5 star review. However, they have since increased their prices by almost a pound which ruins one of the only things I love about this bar: cheap beers. This is now a 3 star bar with average prices to go along with an average experience.

  Stayed here a couple of times. Was clean and tidy. Well priced for location and great for groups. There is a bar/nightclub on the ground floor and large courtyard with bbqs and outdoor bars in summer. Not a place to stay if your wanting an early night as it is busy and noisy. All in all a good spot.

  Great buzz around but.. our 1st 2 Gin & Tonic were lovely. 3rd time we went up we got 2 more and when we tasted them there was no Gin in them. Only tonic water. I brought them back and the girl threw them away and gave us 2 more. I watched her pour them from the optic and top with the tonic water. When I sat down and took a sip it had no Gin in it again. Quite obviously the spirits are watered down. Watered down so much there was no Gin in my £4.50 drink. Absolutely disgraceful Carry on from a big pub. I will not recommend this bar to friends or family visiting Edinburgh.
