  What was a promising start to this renovated pub has fallen foul of bad management, rude staff and very disappointing food. Given it a chance but three strikes and your out!

  An utterly fantastic pub. Ale and beer selection is excellent. Bar snacks are freshly cooked and the menu has something for everyone. The outside space is generous and the cabin is very comfortable and warm, ideal for watching sport with your friends in a great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly. The establishment is also part of the city club and operates a reward scheme where did, drink and even a stay at the Bed and Breakfast can be redeemed. Thoroughly recommended.

  A great place since the refurbishment. Looks great inside and out and would happily pop back again for food. Menu looks good and the outdoor seating is an added bonus for the warmer months.

  Great local pub. Food is pretty good with a massive selection of drinks including ales, lager and spirits. But I want them to bring back the bread and butter pudding made with croissants they had a few months back. It was lovely.

  Christmas party, really nice private room out the back with own bar. Great food. Nice staff. One small problem was that the fire wasn't drawing very well so it got quite smoky but if they sort that out it's lovely.
