  My husband and I initially hired a different solicitors' firm in Dundee to handle house buying, but they were so unresponsive we switched to Thorntons out of frustration. That was the best decision we made. We were buying from long-distance but were constantly updated, and all our questions and requests were answered promptly. The service provided by Claire Lennon and Louise Husband was first class. We would recommend Thorntons to anyone who requires a conveyancing solicitor.

  Professional and very efficient company, who were great to deal with. Claim was processed timeously and I was kept in the loop at all stages! Would definitely recommend using this company for claims!!

  I was buying a house that I had been renting in. It was important for me to conclude the deal before the current tenancy runs out. Also my case was a bit complicated as I am not a UK national and also claiming bonus from Help-to-Buy ISA. Claire Morris at Thorntons was excellent throughout the whole journey. She was quick to understand my specific requirements, and showed true dedication to meet them. The deal was made in just over three weeks in time for the end of the tenancy, and Claire gave timely updates almost daily through emails, which was my preferred way of communication. The service I received by Claire at Thorntons was highly professional and very pleasant. I definitely recommend Thorntons to friends.

  Initial appraisal and correspondence was very efficient and prompt. Good quality schedules and excellent communication - mail, post and phone call. Property sold very quickly and staff were very helpful. Only issue was slight delay in advising me of an offer and of confirming acceptance to client, but this may have been due to my regular contact being off that day. Would use again as long as prices remain competitive and take into consideration new online companies selling at reduced rates.
