  Since this practice changed hands every appointment I have made they have cancelled at least twice, they seem to be losing their staff in droves. Now I've been told they can't provide appointments for children and have no expectation of being able to in the future, so I've given up. Frustrating after sticking with them through this - I hate changing dentists.

  The University sold this practice in December and the excellent dentist I had left. I had a pre-existing check-up appointment which I brought forward. The new dentist decided a filling was required and did it there and then. She charged £234, including £60 for an 'emergency' appointment, which it definitely was not. Consequently I have now changed to another dental practice.

  This used to be university-owned dental practice until it was recently sold to private practice. I think this dental practice deserves a further authentic review. I used to do my biannual dental check here. They used to have two dentists, one female and one male. My first service was with the female dentist, Omara, who was very professional and considerate, she also gave me plenty of good advice on keeping my teeth healthy. My second experience, terrible experience, was with the male one, named Kevin I think. When he was checking my teeth, he said "When you became rich and famous, you can get that tooth fixed." While, I came to this practice became I am a PhD student at this university and I want to check my teeth's health, not to seek advice on orthodontics , totally not expected to be judged of my personal wealth (still further, I can say I can afford a orthodontic surgery anytime...). I read it as rude, arrogant, unprofessional and to some extent, racism, because I am a minority in this country, and I happened to be not wearing expensive clothes that day. On top of this, there is a second bad experience. I called to expect that I can book the female dentist, and I showed up this morning, only to be told by this rude receptionist that my appointment was cancelled last week, I was booked with this male dentist, and he happened to be on "something". She also said that she had left me a message (maybe a voice mail, but definitely no text or email at all). She did not apologize for this confusion at all, without any smile. Now, the dental service is sold to private party, and I was told that this guy is the only dentist on site now. This combo, the cold, no smile receptionist and this rude racist dentist, serves as a nice example of real appalling service in the entirety of the tertiary sector of UK, where most practitioners are nice, professional and earn lots of respects for their profession (like these many good doctors and nurses at Addenbrooke's hospital, Nuffield Health medical centre, Newnham Walk Surgery, etcs). This is completely the opposite. I am happy that the university I love dump and cut clean with this dreadful dental practice. I have no reason to come back anymore. Try to avoid it for your own good.

  Very quick service, got booked in in an hours time after I explained it was an emergency. The doctor was very gentle and professional.
