  Dictatorial, immature and shockingly unprofessional. After visiting their website would you as a high-end property developer appoint designers of street furniture to design and manage all areas of an office conversion into five multi-million pound apartments? Somebody did, and needless to say there where big issues. But the main problem steamed from Velorose's own Director who insisted on running the whole job himself, his way and against the advice of more experienced industry professionals, including his own staff it seems (Some of whom I'm informed left during the project). The end result was confusion, frequent confrontation and a project that over ran by several months; has some serious ergonomic design flaws in one flat; and cost at least one contractor thousands in additional labour and material. And then there's the poor client to consider who must have been going through hell, having to explain all of this to his clients waiting to move in. But if that isn't bad enough, would you as a client expect to be copied in on long-winded, sometimes abusive emails inspired in my opinion more by petulance then need, day in and day out from Velorose trying desperately to transfer responsibility onto everyone else but themselves, setting contractor against contractor? And would you expect a company Director on several occasions to pretend to be another member of his staff when writing them? What does that tell you about Velorose? Probably I need write no more. In summary I can't say: 'don't use them - not ever'. I came involved with said project halfway through from another contractor to rescue the fitted furniture projects (who had their own issues), and managed to do so. But I will say Velorose (or more correctly it's director)obstructed me at every possible turn. Not one day did I visit the site to find fitted furniture parts dismantled or removed by fellow contractors due to another change of specification or snag. Not once did any of my advice regarding their (his) modus operandi be heeded. I've moved on, some of the flats have been sold, and in fairness they look lovely, (provided you don't look too closely). For my part however I would seriously advise all those considering appointing this company for similar projects to think very carefully. Without question, in my opinion, Velorose where hopelessly out of their depth on this one.
