On a cold, wet day, this started well and got better! Free car parking for visitors, friendly welcome in coffee shop / ticket office, excellent layout, explanations and videos of exhibits and history, even better tour by volunteer guide. Find out what a "kettle biler " was! And ticket lasts a year and includes HMS Discovery exhibition. Allow a couple of hours or more if you're keen.

Great museum! Helpful staff and friendly volunteers. Great for kids. Very informative. The annual pass is a great price, we will be back!

One word fantastic. Definitely should be on your tick list of places to visit whilst in Dundee. It was a fascinating insight into a material for weaving that I had never heard of before - jute. Would highly recommend this as a place to visit and if you can definitely join one of the Machine Tours as that was fantastic.

Lovely place to visit with an onsite cafe and gift shop as well as the museum. The museum is interactive and informative. It tells the story of Dundee's time as 'Juteopolis'. There are puzzles and interactive parts to the exhibit for younger visitors. The volunteer staff are very knowledgeable and able to demonstrate the use of many of the machines which were found in factories giving a more 'real' experience of the conditions. The High Mill exhibit is a new addition since my last visit and gives more information and insight into the lives of the thousands of jute workers who once lived in the City. The film shown in the small cinema is very interesting to give a broad picture of how things were. Well worth a visit. Beneficial if visiting both Verdant and discovery to take advantage of the joint ticket they offer. In my opinion reasonably priced for what is on offer in the museum.
