    Vertu Volkswagen Whitchurch made the process of getting my new car so easy. Along with brilliant customer service and interaction I didn't feel anything but happy and excited to ask questions. My sales rep ( I dont know if i'm allowed to use names) was enthusiastic and took time to take a personal interest in my specific needs and requirements to find the perfect car for me.     Went into my boot, used some of my oil without my permission (it was put in my car) then they didn't put it back properly so now it has leaked everywhere. Also their courtesy car broke down and they wanted to charge me for warranty work! Not impressed. This used to be a good garage apparently.

    The personal touch has been lost completely. Having been a customer of this garage for 20 years, I am appalled at how slow the response is. I have a simple problem with my car. In the past, I would have phoned the service department and spoken to one of the staff who would most probably have known me by name. I would have been given prompt advice and either a "Just bring the car in and we'll have a quick look" or 'That sounds like something we'll need to look at more closely. Let's book it in". The booking would have been done in a flash. Instead, I talk to a call handler in Newcastle who knows nothing about the cars and whose only recourse is to load up a diary and book the car in. This took time. She also tried to sell me other products during the same call. In all, it took 7 minutes to complete the call. In the past, this would have been done and dusted in a couple of minutes. Call centres are impersonal andineffective. Get me directly in touch with the actual provider of the service and I, as a customer, get the prompt, personal service I expect and deserve.
